Wet again

Promising to be a wet day, what does one do - go to Keswick Pencil Museum. The problem is that everyone else has the same idea!

Deciding that it was not worth joining a long queue, we headed off towards Caldbeck, but stopped in Uldale at Maes for an early lunch. And very good it was too - they do such great cakes too.

By the time we arrived in Caldbeck it was raining and some was turning to sleet. Undeterred four set off for the Howk. And got very wet, as you can see from the photo (Gordon’s - I was deterred!). Home to dry out and have a rest. Pizzas to make later.

((We all enjoyed watching an episode of Race Across the World last night, especially as they are travelling through places in Canada we travelled through on our big adventure a number of years ago now.)
