"Still Water"

We needed to be in Cirencester quite early this morning so decided to walk Ivy in Cirencester Park for a change.  We walked some way up the Broad Avenue which is six miles long and runs the length of the park.  You can just see it continuing in the far distance behind this horse's head.

"Still Water" is an outdoor bronze sculpture of a giant disembodied horse head captured as though the horse was drinking and was sculpted by British artist Nic Fiddian-Green. The original is 33ft tall and was installed at Marble Arch in 2011 and moved to Achille’s Way, near Hyde Park Corner, in May 2021.  This one is only 16ft tall but is still pretty impressive.  Aliscotia blipped it about a week ago so it was good to see it in the flesh, as it were!  In extras is our view as we walked back towards the town with the beautiful parish church standing proud.
