Boulevard Art #2
It was gey grey at the start of the day when Mrs CBL and I drove into Aberdeen to do some chores but thankfully the weather brightened in the early afternoon.
On our way home we stopped for a walk along the Beach Boulevard. There was a warmth in the sun but Mrs CBL insisted that I put my jacket on! We strolled along the boulevard to Footdee, a historic fishing village at the mouth or foot of the River Dee.
On the way we passed the mural I put on Blip a couple of weeks ago. I posted the first verse of a poem written in Doric, the local dialect of Aberdeenshire.
Verse 2 - translation
Stay a while when the cold sea mist rolls and the twilight comes to take the sun away,
Stay a while when the moon spills over the waves, the light dancing to the songs of the mermaids,
Stay a while no matter the weather, rest, breathe, take it all in - our beach is beautiful in any season,
So stay a while whatever the reason.
