Middle Beach

Cranky and argumentative, I didn't know what I needed until I returned to the river.  There, I saw a family (extra) wading in the swollen river, and my first Roadrunner of 2023.  I asked Ms. Roadrunner to hold still while I photographed her, but lacking vanity and not requiring proof of presence, she continued on her way.
