Nature not constrained

This is outside the front door to my block of flats in Khimki, and it rather nicely illustrates the way in which Russia tolerates nature. It is in marked contrast to the way in which all nature in public urban spaces in Scotland is savaged by people who think that they should look like an English country garden or chocolate box village. No self-respecting municipality allows the dandelions to grow freely. The English don't so we shouldn't. Of course, there are places where it is nice to see mown lawns, but there are others where it would be far better to save the cost of destroying the wild flowers and allow nature to flourish.
