Tower

There shrines and palaces and towers
(Time-eaten towers that tremble not!)
Resemble nothing that is ours. (E.A. Poe)

Left to my own devices on a sunny day, I headed to the river. The air around Doune Castle burbled with the pleasant sound of French tourists, chattering. Coming back from the river, the tower of Kilmadock Parish Church caught my eye (again), brightly lit against a blue and puffy white sky. I've blipped this building before, sometimes in a good light, sometimes less so. It looked very cheerful today.
Extra: river pebbles in the sunshine.
