About to turn

Isabelle's quintet

Traded shifts with a co-worker (this is my regular weekend to work) so I could drive down to Charlottesville with William to the spring chamber music concert at UVA. Her ensemble played beautifully - a piano quintet by Erno Dohnany. Had a good visit and tacos afterward, and a very pretty drive down and back too. Route 15, in its more rural places, is lined with bright purple-pink redbuds and bursting green woods. The Blue Ridge was clear in the distance, once south of Culpepper. A treat of a day.

Extra: view from Brooks Hall
Second extra: William on the steps. The memorial to enslaved workers (circular grey stone structure) is in the background, and farther away the UVA University Hospital complex.
