National Gallery

Had the afternoon off after a busy morning at work, so KryptoMart and I went to the National Gallery and sussed out the Scottish paintings. Here are the marvellous Sir D. Y. Cameron paintings.

Sir D. Y. Cameron was an enormously influential figure in the art world of London and Edinburgh during the first half of the 20th century. He is best remembered as a painter of the Scottish landscape; immortalising the mystical beauty of Scotland in her various moods and seasons. He drew inspiration form a wide range of subject matter and travelled extensively throughout his career. In contrast to his famous Highland views are paintings and etchings of the medieval streets of Paris and Belgium, always capturing the elusive astmosphere of the places he visited.

Beautiful weather today, here's hoping it lasts over the weekend.
