Three ducks in a row

I went across to the shops this morning and saw these three Mallard ducks looking quite content shading under a tree. Two males and a female in the middle, unperturbed by the humans passing to and fro. 

I was later in the garden transplanting and working out where to put some new plants. I find summer and some of spring too hot to do too much in the garden … the usual time when people are setting up their gardens. I follow when I have the energy.

Being out in the front garden as I was today always leads to catching up with fellow residents using the path near by. That occurred today and is a plus … never long chats.
