Sun - Valley Lemon Pie

This 1970s recipe was found lurking in the recipe book and I was directed to make it.

Developed long before the Sugar Police came into being, the addition of half a cup of lemon juice and three teaspoons of lemon zest calms down the overbearing sweetness.

It should be served on a biscuit crumb base, but laziness forced me into buying meringue nests (and therefore even more sugar).
