Acts of deliberate notice

We have been away this weekend to D's parents' 40th wedding anniversary ceilidh. Such a lovely weekend staying with friends who are intelligent, interesting and hugely talented, then getting to dance the day away and spend good time together. We had a great journey back and were home by lunchtime so seized the opportunity of a rare day off together to go and see the cherry blossom where D used to work.

It was stunningly beautiful and we spent nearly an hour walking down this one short stretch of trees. D was a little chagrined that he worked there for 4 years and we never went, and now he has left (and we have to pay for parking!) we finally found time to see it together. It was so worth it though and I am still feeling full of sunshine from our beautiful day together.
