Acer flowers

I’ve never seen this small Acer have flowers before. HtP thinks that it was because it was so dry last summer and it’s producing seeds so that it can ensure that it’s species survives.

After my friends disappointingly couldn’t use the top box it sat outside last night. Today I’ve carried it and put it in the garage. I have the roof bars that it fits to so I’m sure that someone will want it.
