Wonderful Wisley

Today we joined  group of friends from our Livery Company for a visit to Wisley Gardens. We hadn't been there for a few years and were amazed at the transformations which have taken place, and  are still ongoing.
We had a guided tour by one of the Gardens volunteers and then  spent several more hours exploring on our own  My main shows one of two spectacular Cercis chinensis "Avondale " trees being grown against the wall of a new building.  In extras are views of a wonderful glade containing  masses of  yellow Erythronium "Pagoda" flowers, Trillium, Forgetmenot and other spring beauties, and a cherry tree in full bloom.
We have vowed to return again soon,  when  the  Alpine Cushion House opens and the  new lake area is finished (third extra).
