Water Volleyball

Another in a string of sea days.  Part of this afternoon's entertainment was a spirited water volleyball match between fellow passengers and the crew.  Everybody looked like they were having a very good time, but after taking some photographs, I fled back into the air-conditioned splendour of our cabin, as it is very hot outside!

We also had the most delicious lunch today -- an event called "Lunch & Learn", which was a cooking demonstration by Silverseas' Travelling Fleet Executive Chef.  The menu was absolutely scrumptious (we were all served the dishes she demonstrated for lunch, accompanied by some terrific wines.) Stupidly, I forgot to bring my camera, but the menu included Marinated Crab Salad with Lemon Gel, Poached Lobster, Champagne Foam and Grapefruit Jelly as the starter.  This was followed by Beef and Lamb Canon with Pickled Mustard Seed, Charred Beetroot, Vegetable Piperade, Mushroom Puree, Shredded Duck "Croquette", and Bordelaise Jus, and then for dessert the most beautiful Chocolate "Soil" topped with a "toadstool" made from meringue, Dark, Milk and White Chocolate Mousse, and accompanied by Thyme Infused Ice Cream.  Exquisite!  (See Extra)
