Hazy

After a morning of packing more boxes and making a batch of shortbread, it felt good to get out for a walk in the lovely sunshine. For a change there was hardly a cloud in the sky, but there was a haziness as well.

While out I bumped into friend Belinda's husband David, who was walking Sammy. Belinda died last week in Strathcarron Hospice. David is bereft, poor man. He was able to tell me that B's funeral will be a private family affair once B's daughter and grandchildren travel from various parts of the country and abroad. Unfortunately her son, who had come from Australia to spend several weeks with her, had had to return to Oz before she died.
