Made Me Smile

On my walk I met Kerry, who owns the Seapot which is a small cafe on the revetment between Ventnor and Bonchurch. It is very popular and the food is delicious. She opened at Easter for the Summer period. However, it has been very quiet, largely due to the partial closure (long term) of part of the Western end of the revetment following the appearance of a very large crack/subsidence.
To we Islanders ‘gurt’ means large, or in this case very steep!!!
