Needing a restful day before hospital tomorrow I thought I’d stick something calm on the telly. David Attenborough’s lovely latest series seemed to fit the bill until the God Of Mischief awoke from his sleep and needed a close-up look at all the creatures.

Utterly fascinated he got closer to watch birds swooping on prey, then even closer to admire the bees and butterflies before jumping onto the cabinet…at one point I feared a broken tv as he seemed determined to follow the flight over the top and around the back of the screen!
