The North Pier from a bench.

Nobody sitting on the bench today, cool breeze off the sea. A popular viewpoint. The bench sits at the edge of the ruins of “ St Mary on the Rock” church which was built in 1123. It was a home for the Culdees, an order of Celtic monks. The church was next to the new priory at St Andrews Cathedral, but outside its wall.

Lovely down at the East Sands and pier. Sunny, cold and not busy.

We’d coffee at Costa Coffee, sitting outside in Market Street, south facing in the sunshine at 530pm.  What’s not to like?
