A sunny day for a visit

Decided to pay a visit to nearby Crookston Castle
There has been a castle here since the 1100s. This impressive stone castle was probably built by Sir John Stewart of Darnley at the beginning of the 15th century. The castle was besieged by James IV's forces during a rebellion in 1489,
It was lived in until the 1600s. 
During the Second World War it was used as an anti-aircraft lookout post.
Great views from the top although rather windy.
