Royal Cluster

Some days (like yesterday), it's easy to choose a blip due to either limited selection or an outstanding image. Other days (like today), it's almost impossible.

I was in Nelson for a meeting this morning and as I was leaving I realised there were patches of blue in the sky - and I had promised myself that if I was up there when there was some colour in the sky I would go back to see the monarch butterflies that are wintering over.

I took A LOT of photos - and it has been really hard narrowing it down. In the end I've chosen two - this one of a cluster that also shows some in flight, and one of a lady going it alone (in my folio).

I've put some of the ones that didn't make the cut onto my flickr page.
