A misty, rainy day at the lake…..

……. At the Taylor Dam. The dozens of white birds on the surface of the lake in the distance are large black-back gulls. The Marlborough District Council land-fill is nearby. The gulls sit around on the lake waiting for their favourite foods….. fish waste brought in from the Marlborough Sounds. They have impeccable timing. One of their lot lets them know the food has arrived and they all fly off to feast. So they come and go…. It’s fascinating….
