Little did I know…

This pleasant start to the day came before a very fun partners’ meeting which led on to me, as planned, being in the dentist’s chair to get two teeth taken out — little did I know that would take three hours. The first was challenging but the second one took for ages. Lots of drilling into bone to try and ease out fused roots. My list of US states came in very handy to distract me but sometimes I had to be very focused on signs of progress and suffer the very manual forces to try and get the damn thing out. I could tell the dentist had to fight and use all his years’ long skill and patience. Dd was more than anxious waiting and we had a wee glass of rose wine to calm nerves after, both in her and in my jaw!
