Big Cat

We had a lovely day today, and it's not even over. We had a huge lie-in due to Ann's very late arrival in Vienna last night - technically this morning - and then after breakfast and a wander round the city centre we ventured over to Schönbrunn Palace, the former emperor's summer residence (think an Austrian version of Versailles).

The place is vast, and we only really saw a bit of the grounds before we got completely distracted by stumbling on a ZOO!! I didn't even know Vienna had a zoo, and I've been working here for months.

Well, we haven't been to a zoo for years, and correctly assumed it'd be more interesting than a big house full of old paintings. Highlights: penguins, elephants, giraffes and this majestic creature.
