Not quite what it seems

It’s not hard to take photos of kangaroos around here (they’re everywhere) but this shot of one beside my log splitter has a few contradictions.
For a start, the RedRoo is actually green. Secondly, the animal to the left is neither a kangaroo nor red, but a wallaby although it almost qualifies as it’s a Red Necked Wallaby which is mainly grey.
Kangaroos are taller and more muscular than wallabies, the real Red Roos being more inland and to the north. The Eastern Greys here in the valley are slightly smaller but can still be 2 metres tall and not to be tangled with!
