If you can't beat them...

Robin ( Erithacus rubecula )

A final day of pressure washing at the Lodge.   I have finally covered all the verandah rails, floor, window frames, etc removing dirt etc ready for putting on a new coat of wood preservative. As if working with lots of cold water wasn't enough it hailed, and it's almost May!

Getting home without a blip I started watching ut of the window for birds.  Something I am often doing partly for the BTO garden bird watch, partly for blips, and partly because I like birds.  Clickychick spotted this Robin flitting about collecting food.  We assume it is feeding young as it didn't swallow grubs it found instead kept them in its beak.
