Hairy or Downy?

It's a hairy woodpecker.  Funny...yesterday I took an online quiz to test if I could identify the differences in them.  The downies are 6” and their beaks are about 1/3 the size of their heads.  The hairies are 9” and their beaks are the same size as their heads.  Without my glasses on, I saw a big red, white, and black bird blur at the feeder, but couldn't make out what it was, until I blipped it.

I have a french press, but that was already blipped and I wasn't feeling creative for today's MM challenge.  I also cancelled today's hike since it was 37 degrees with rain, sleet, and snow.  Nothing stuck.

Hope your week started off well.
