Grassland

A few thoughtful blippers wondered yesterday how cattle could possibly feed on the land I photographed.  The musician's land is rooted in the mesas and mountains beyond. The lowland, the vegas = fertile plain or lowland; water meadow,  is where the cattle raising and grazing took place.

100 years ago, the desert here received a good bit more rainfall. Even as recently as 20 years ago, things were much more verdant than now, yet it has always been identified as a desert.
