Cave School History

Well I sure have had a varied day. Today in NZ and Australia it is ANZAC Day Which stands for Australia and NZ Army Corp and every day on this day we remember with services all over the country those who lost their lives in the wars.
8am saw me at the service here in Pleasant Point where I took photos and also read a poem I had written at the first covid ANZAC day which we celebrated by all standing out at our gateways at 6am thinking of the meaning of the day. I had then gone inside and wrote a poem about the event nevr meaning it to be used, However people really appreciated it this morning looking back on that day
Following that it was off a few miles up the road to the Township of Cave to another very moving service and took photos. Directly following was  service to unveil a history board that recorded that life of the school that had been there unti 1937 when all small rural schools were amalgamated
My blip is of this brother and sister who had attended this school . The lady turned 96 yesterday and she got up and spoke so well about her life as a child going to school in that area. Sharp as a tack and easily heard by everyone . Her brother spoke well also.
This was followed by lunch.  A great day but now have a 160 photos from the three events to deal with
