ANZAC...

…………………………………..Day

ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.

ANZAC Day is a commemoration of the anniversary of the landing of Australian and New Zealand troops at Gallipoli, Turkey on 25th April in 1915.

New Zealand and Australia mark the anniversary each year, remembering not only those who died at Gallipoli, but all who have served their country in times of war.

These flowers are part of a wreath left at the local memorial in Motueka, NZ.

Thank you for the comments and stars for yesterday’s signs of autumn which were bathed in golden hour light. Today the hour was rather grey and cloudy.
