Thru a photographer's eye

Solar panel cleaning

Last Saturday morning, up there as early as possible for annual cleaning and maintenance checks — before the sun got too high. Fortunately, it turned out to be a bright(-ish) yet relatively cloudy morning. The two top photos are shortly after clambering over the roof to access this rear area, and the two bottom photos are about an hour-and-a-half's work later!
Apart from cleaning, I found two of the twelve or so mountings slightly loose and their Allen keys in need of a bit of tightening. That will have been the repeated action of windy gusts accumulating over the past twelve months.

As a result of cleaning, the generation improved by about 10-15%, an extra kilowatt per sunny day at this time of year.
