A Glimpse of 76 Years Ago

A needlework sampler which Pat purchased a few years ago in a now forgotten antique and collectibles emporium.

Judging by the frame and the wood backing board I think this was made at the time of George VI coronation. 

Quite a difference from the deluge of commemorative items being advertised from many sources to celebrate the imminent Coronation.

Of which I will write no more.
