Meow Wolf

Spent the weekend with Jo and Clelyn in Denver which made a pleasant break after the studying routine of the past 3 months. Apart from some great food and good walks plus playing Pickleball, we went to an unusual relatively new attraction called Meow Wolf. Basically, a group of artists have designed a whole big building into 4 ‘worlds’ with all kinds of themes going on but difficult to describe. There is a story about convergence and the worlds connecting and puzzles to do around the place including one where you sit in a huge robots lap and align planets on the ceiling - which when achieved sets off a dramatic sound and light display that captures the attention of the other 50 to 100 people in that area - it had an eery impact on us as - it simulated what a deity might feel like as you initiate this impressive display and all these people are looking up at it and marvelling. It was probably enhanced by one of the staff members dressed in a kind of ‘priestly’ garb holding his arms up in the middle of all the onlookers and making worshipful gestures. Anyway that was one of many experiences at this strangely named experience. Here L sits with a colourful sloth in memory of her childhood pet.
