Frog Hunter

Spotted this young Eastern Gartersnake by our pond. She seemed as curious about me as I was of her. Tongue flicking out as she attempted to gather as much info about me and my camera as possible. She didn't appear to feel threatened and held her ground until I retreated. I always consider seeing a serpent as a very lucky omen. Not so much for the frogs however.
