A Morning Cycle Ride

The clock is ticking faster and faster out of control.
His Lordship and I are winding down, savouring our last full day with Berkeleyblipper and Oilman in Santa Rosa.

We went for a longish walk round part of Spring and Ralphine Lakes this morning, with an accompanying posse of cyclists, walkers, joggers and the ever present dogs staining at leads. Ozzie had a clandestine swim in a quiet part of the lake when no one was looking and emerged triumphant with a big stick and a big grin.

There is a valedictory barbecue planned for this evening with our hosts and their daughter's family. With a birthday son-in-law in our midst it will be quite some party.
Even the moon is full, as if in celebration of our last night. We will sit in the moonlight at the top of the garden and commit to memory the view of hills covered in vineyards and pine trees under a starry sky.
What a holiday it has been.
