Ewes and lambs

Maria and Ben got here safely last evening in time for a lovely Indian take away followed by a twlight walk. We were looking out for roe deer but they stayed hidden in the trees.
Then later in the evening we looked at the stars because it was a very clear sky. The Moon was so bright it cast a shadow. That is not something we would usually see. Ursa Major was also visible.
Today Ben and Maria have gone on an 18k hike to Staveley near Kendal. Paul and me went for a stroll on the farm, but the farmer was rounding up the sheep so we didn't follow the path in the top left picture as we planned.
It is a great joy to hear all the ewes baahing in a chorus. The sweet little lambs jump for joy and frolic as they run about in twos or fours.
It is suddenly colder today with the forecast saying it could rain by four o'clock.
