Damian Hirst's North Greenwich Mermaid

A work by Damian Hirst, who lived near the Pilot Inn on Greenwich Peninsula before it get developed. There is another statue ('Hydra & Kali') on a former coal wharf about five minutes' walk further south, which would have been very close to where once lived.

Snapped during a night-time 10km tootle from the Trafalgar around north Greenwich to the Thames Barrier and then back along Woolwich Road (really atrocious pavements on the south side).
