Ghosttrain

So I see our very own funfair is back on the Stray. It's been coming back to more or less the same spot for years and years...since I was just a wee lad in fact. I wondered wandered around the blinking lights and candy floss stands this afternoon, watching the merry go round go round merrily and the sullen gleam of the ghosttrain, humming to myself as I did so. It's changed so little since I was a nipper. It just seems smaller somehow. Besieged and a little diminished by the 21st Century. Glittering and uncertain beneath tumbling clouds
