DeKay’s Brown Snake

Or, as it’s known, a little brown snake. Bella found it and lost her mind! :—) We saved it. Looks like it was trying to shed. This was a first for us. Apparently it spends a lot of time underground. It eats insects, grubs, worms, and slugs! I dislike slugs. We released it to a safe place where Bella wouldn’t fit.
Don’t judge me for my dirty fingernails and hands! We worked in the yard! J planted 12 new blueberry bushes and I potted up some herbs for a friend who brought us 2 banana plants and planted some herbs for us. It’s still too wet to disc up the big garden but the other stuff is coming along! We had lots of rain last night but today was a beautiful, productive day.
