PAD-118/365 Thufan (The Tussock)

Þufan is an artwork, designed by artist named Ólöf Nordal. She wanted to create a place of serenity and meditation in the bustling capital city of Iceland. The piece is a large, grassy knoll with a walking path encircling it to the top. On top is a kind of a dry-shed that is as a callback to Iceland’s past. Tufan also has ties to Icelandic culture; the hidden people (elves) in folklore were said to be able to live in an alternate world especially inside rocks and knolls like this.
