Bleeding Hearts …

… by our driveway on a cloudy afternoon.

We went out early to buy asparagus from a nearby farm and found the stand closed. We were looking forward to our first fresh-picked asparagus of the season and finally found some remaining in a local market. It has been unseasonably cold and so it is growing slowly at the moment. We will have it tonight with dinner.
