Saturday Sunshine

Against all expections, after a morning of rain, the sky gradually cleared to give us blue skies and sunshine! I went for a walk between 5-6 pm and it was amazingly hot and humid after the rain. I saw people in short-sleeves. Fingers crossed that the heatwave in Spain will not come over here.

I know I wanted to do a week of shadows, but they seemed so dull after the brightness of this tulip in the luscious long grass.  There will be other shadows, but only when they please me enough to share!

There are important looking cumulus nimbus clouds billowing on the horizon ... maybe more rain during the night?
