Life through the lens...

What time is it?

It’s almost coffee time.
The village cherry trees are just about at their best.
This photo was taken as we walked home after picking up our weekend Yorkshire Post.
Looking over the park and bowling green towards the village church.

A dull morning but we have had a much warmer and sunny afternoon.

Noticed that the potatoes are just peeping through.
Yesterday’s tulips are fully open. However the late variety daffodils are now fading fast.

The leaves on the copper beech tree are unfurling. The buds still being eaten by the pigeons. I counted 16 in the tree a couple of nights ago.

MrC has been watching the snooker championships from Sheffield Crucible. ( and I have watched bits of it too)
What a great semifinal between Luca Brecel from Belgium and the very young Si Jiahui from China .
Luca completed the biggest comeback in the Crucible history. After trailing 14-5 he finally won 17- 15 and now goes through to the final.
I’m not a great snooker fan although I enjoyed playing it at the youth club as a teenager.
However this match was something special.
Glad I saw it ‘ live’.

So not a bad start to the Bank Holiday Weekend.
