All part of the story

The subtlety of tide

Early morning.  Outgoing tide.   The day is mild, with silvery grey skies. The warmth sits like a silken mantle on my shoulders.   The joy of that stillness and the peaceful experience of almost vicarious flight.

As I go out the Cuckoo is noisy, welcomingly noisy.  Perched on a deer fence post, tail raised.

On the way back between Calgary and Treshnish, the wondrous sight of a small pod of Bottlenose dolphins cutting an elegant line through the mirror sea.  I didn't mind that we missed the Minke whale that the others saw from home.

Grateful for the warmth and stillness of the morning, for the breaching of the dolphins.

worth looking large to see the patterns in the sand
