Damn damn damn

Here’s the Dutch yacht Steady, arriving at the eastern entrance to the Caledonian Canal. She had a beautiful spinnaker in red, white and blue, the colours of the national flag of the Netherlands.

I’ll wait, I thought, till she’s lined up against that hill and waited for her to sail into shot. And ten seconds later the spinnaker was down.
