Reaching up...

I planned to photograph a dead rose, but then ended up tidying the side of the dining room that is covered in our photographic 'tat'. I decided it was about time to ditch some of the long-dead flowers - there are still plenty left though! As I was sorting things out I came across these lovely bendy poppy heads and so the rose will have to wait its turn. Several textures later I came up with this - inspired partly by a Glyn Dewis talk from the Photoshop Creativity Summit a couple of weeks ago. We paid for the VIP pass so are slowly working our way through all the talks!
