I Write with Light

Old Salt.

An "'old salt'" in the England/English speaking naval services is often a raconteur, or teller of sea stories. Much of the history and traditions of the naval services are passed from generation to generation to generation of service members by these sea stories as told and retold and told and retold by old sea salts. Sea stories may be truthful, half-truths, or falsehoods, however they always enhance the reputations of naval and Marine (armed services) units, or individuals.

An absolute cracking morning here in Guernsey. The best for a long time.
I took a wander down to the light house and back around the harbour.

I eventually stumbled upon this fellow.

This old salt most probably frequents the harbour on a daily basis and everyone must know him. I'm sure he's happy.

Now time to enjoy the rest of the day. Town will be busy with two cruise ships in and the sea front is closed so June and I are off for a wander.

A must view large blip.
