Sganio, sganio, sganio...

Mae'r angen ffeindio dogfennau cyfreithiol wedi bod yn gatalyst i mi fynd drwy'r holl hen bapurau  a adawodd fy rhieni ar ôl. Weithau tybed pam fod y pethau dibwys hyn (yn aml) wedi goroesi. Yma gallwn weld fy mam yn talu blaendal ar gyfer y ffotograffydd priodas, yna llythyr ymddeoliad, yna llythyr lwfans teulu, ac yn olaf y gwahoddiad brechiad clwy'r pennau. Rhai vignettes o fywyd rhwng 1956 a 1957... Cyn i mi gyrraedd 1959.  Mae’n ddiddorol gweld ambell agwedd o fywyd fy rhieni yn y dyddiau cynnar.

Scanning, scanning, scanning....

The need to find legal documents has been a catalyst for me to go through all the old papers that my parents left behind. Sometimes I wonder why these (often) trivial things have survived. Here we can see my mother paying a deposit for the wedding photographer, then a retirement letter, then a family allowance letter, and finally the mumps vaccination invitation. Some vignettes of life between 1956 and 1957... Before I arrived in 1959. It is interesting to see some aspects of my parents' life in the early days.
