WE DID IT!

What a great weekend! So much fun with family and fantastic to complete the Times Colonist 10K together! An early start, up and at the site of the beginning of the walk by just before 8am. The atmosphere was fantastic, so much energy, and a super DJ playing music that got us all going. The weather was perfect, a mix of sun and clouds, and the wind kept us cool once we got going. There were spectators along the route clapping and shouting words of encouragement. As we approached the finish line, we linked arms and crossed it together as the announcer shouted out our names! The time might have been a few seconds faster than when I did this 10K in 2015, and it was so much more fun to do it with family than when I did it by myself then. More memories made!

I'm posting this on Monday morning. Right chuffed with myself for taking the time to get ready for the race, well worth it to have nary an ache nor a pain nor a blister this morning!  Hope it's the same for the young ones.  HA!
There are rumours that we'll be doing this again in 2024. We'll see!  :-))
