It is so important to preen your feathers!

Mr and Mrs Mallard have been coming and going to my pond but last night they stayed the night. I fear they may be moving in. They make such a mess of my small garden pond and churn all the water up making it very muddy. However I have tolerated them today as I have been too busy to chase them off and Mrs Mallard does look lovely in the sunshine as she spent ages preening her feathers.
