(123) Oulema Melanopus

My macro lens doesn't get a lot of use so today I decided to head to Balbirnie Park with it to see what I could find. In the event, inspiration was lacking and I didn't take many photos but this image is one I'm quite pleased with. According to Google Lens this is a Cereal Leaf Beetle. At only about 5mm in length, it was a bit of a challenge to capture a sharp image as it sat on a fern, swaying in the breeze. Kit used for this was Nikon D850, Sigma 105mm macro lens and Nikon SB-910 speedlight.
